If you only have 1-3 days in Rome, choose a neighborhood close to a metro station.

Either unemployed or not at all. Additionally, the traffic in Rome is very bad, so it can take a long time to get from point A to point B. If you only have 1-3 days here, you don’t want to waste time in traffic (or waiting for a delayed bus).

In this guide, I have provided information for each neighborhood about its proximity to the nearest subway station. Note that not all areas of Rome are connected by metro. Some are served only by buses and trams.

Although Rome is a very walkable city, the metro is very useful if you are pressed for time or coming from the airport / station. It is also usually faster than trams.
