Whether you’re looking for a once-in-a-lifetime luxury hotel, a small intimate boutique hotel, an affordable mid-range hotel or a budget hostel, Singapore has a full range of them all.
However, Singapore is one of the most expensive cities in Asia and has been named the most expensive city in the world for five years in a row, which is also reflected in hotel prices. However, fear not as this guide will show you some options that are good value for money.
It’s also the only major city where I’ve landed at the airport and been told that all the hotels in the city are full and there are no rooms available. Luckily it turned out to be a bit of an exaggeration, but there was a big dental conference going on and all the major hotels were full. We ended up paying well over our budget and since then we always book in advance when we visit Singapore.
IMPORTANT. None of the hotels listed in this guide are paid locations or sponsored our stay in any way. Earn a small commission when you book through our links at no extra cost. It keeps the site up and running. Thank you for your support. ♥

Killiney Street, just behind the hotel, is lined with cozy and inexpensive restaurants serving delicious Indian, Chinese, Vietnamese and Malaysian dishes.
The room was large, comfortable and modern and very quiet, we didn’t hear anything from the neighbors or the cleaner in the morning. Fast and free internet. The hotel also has a robot (!) and a lovely Jeno who delivers room service food 🙂
I loved Lloyd’s Inn Lloyd’s. Good value for money (including breakfast at the famous Killiney Kopitiam cafe or nearby bakery). Some rooms have large windows and a terrace that opens onto a green garden.
Some rooms have outdoor baths! Super cool! A garden view room costs an extra SDG 20 = USD 15.
