Best Hotels To Stay In Waikiki Beach

Waikiki is a great place to stay for families, couples, and senior travelers, and Waikiki has several backpacker accommodations. This is the place for all places, which I’ll explain below.

Waikiki Resort Hotel

Waikiki is the first choice for families. You will be at the center for all trips to places across the country. This is a safe beach for children to swim without worrying about the waves as there are many artificial rock breakers and saltwater swimming pools.

Kids love it and relieve stress at the beach. Many resorts have their own pools, and the Hilton also has a sauna and water activities. For parents, there are lots of great nightspots and bars all over Waikiki. This is a safe beach area and shopping paradise with many high-end retailers.

Lovers and couples have found the perfect getaway in Waikiki. After cooking and watching the sun every night, think about good food and restaurants. It’s the perfect base for visiting the coast and exploring the island but still having the luxury of luxury, dining and convenience on your doorstep.

The veteran travelers among us love it for many reasons. It’s pretty simple. Everything is at your doorstep. Tours will pick you up and drop you off at your hotel. There are quality restaurants around and the famous Waikiki Beach is within walking distance. You’re never far from a refreshing dip in the hotel’s pool, the ocean, or the gentle breeze.

The 10 Best Waikiki Beach Hotels Of 2023 (with Prices)

This list includes detailed reviews of 17 popular places to stay in Waikiki. I’m sure you’ll find one that fits your budget and style.

Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort (Family): In the heart of Waikiki, this luxury hotel is right on the beach. Luxurious room overlooking the beach, private horn with free fireplace and dance performance. Hilton is the most famous hotel in the country.

Why I recommend this hotel: The hotel has its own private pool. Although many people love the beach, it is perfect for families. Kids can kayak, swim and snorkel without worry. There are no currents, waves or sea creatures to worry about. This hotel is on the Waikiki beach so don’t worry the beach is there too. This is one of the best luxury places to stay in Waikiki and it’s free but you get Hilton prices.

Every Friday night hotel guests are treated to a Hawaiian dance performance before the Hilton’s fireworks display. My favorite fireworks show in the world because you are so close to the firefighters you can hear them coming back down to earth while you are at it!

Moana Surfrider Vs Royal Hawaiian: Review Of The Two Best Marriott Hotels On Waikiki Beach

Sheraton Waikiki (High End): Luxury resort with the island’s most spectacular pool, overlooking the beach. The bars and nightclubs at the Sheraton are a great place to relax after a day exploring the island.

Why I recommend this hotel: The Sheraton is always amazing no matter the location but imagine you are hanging over the edge of an infinity pool, the ocean is beneath you when you turn left, the Diamond Head Crater is also in the distance. . . This is where you find yourself at the end of the day, sipping a Mai Tai by the infinity pool.

Later in the evening, Rumphire is a great place, part of the Sheraton. It is open to the public and is one of the highest points on Oahu. Small dance floor but mostly standing and seating area for drinks, chat and fun.

Waikiki Beachside Hostel (Budget): The budget kind, still in a great location. Walking distance to Waikiki beach and central location to meet you for weekend trips.

The 5 Best Hotels In Honolulu, Hawaii

Why I recommend this resort: Waikiki and Hawaii, in general, aren’t cheap. But it’s still worth watching. You can book a bedroom within walking distance of Waikiki Surf Beach for less than $45 per night.

Because this place is very interesting. You are close to many places where you can take public transport to many of the East Coast’s many great beaches and hiking trails. This is Waikiki’s first resort, and I’m sure you’ll meet lots of other interesting people to hike to!

Hotel Halekulani (Ratonga/Ameniti): One of the most luxurious hotels on Oahu, Halekulani is a beautiful hotel with 453 rooms featuring views of the ocean and mountains. Located on the quiet side of Waikiki but close to all the fancy shops and good restaurants. With bright, stylish rooms and nuanced restaurants, this luxury hotel prides itself in providing the finest in amenities and comforts travelers require.

But it is the superior service that takes you away from the pressures of life the moment you step foot in the hotel. You will be greeted with a bowl of fruit and a box of chocolates to sweeten your stay. This is one of the best places to stay in Waikiki.

Where To Stay In Honolulu

The Ritz-Carlton Residences (Best Views): Located just outside the heart of Waikiki, Ritz-Carlton Residences blend the luxury of a luxury hotel with the convenience of a resort. This property features simple, minimalist rooms with a fully equipped kitchen, a large flat-screen TV and a washing machine to make you feel at home. Although not directly on the beach, the spectacular views and proximity to many popular attractions make it worth it. There are two infinity pools and lots of rooms and some have jacuzzis – not to mention they don’t forget the ocean which offers stunning views of Diamond Head and Waikiki Beach. It’s not about looking the best. This luxury hotel is also famous for its famous sushi restaurant (Sushi Show) with Dean O’De Luca, a chef from New York. In my opinion for food, the Ritz-Carlton is one of the best places to stay in Waikiki.

New Honolulu (Score): Want a great beach vacation but worried about your budget? Well, 5 star hotels on Oahu are inexpensive, living in modern Honolulu. For $200 per night, you can get a beautiful, spacious, bright room with a balcony offering ocean views. It is good value for money because you are staying in a luxury hotel. Great location, just a short walk to shopping and a stone’s throw from Waikiki Beach.

In each room, I found a ukulele and three covers to decorate each room for guests to really feel the love for. There is a secret bar behind the study area in the lobby which is very beautiful and unique. What’s more, you’ll be showing off your dance moves at a famous Honolulu nightclub—yes! This is just Honolulu. As a general rule, this is the best place to stay in Waikiki.

Royal Hawaiian, The Collection Resort, Waikiki (Beachfront): When it comes to Waikiki hotels, Royal Hawaiian is the best. This 5-star hotel is located on the Waikiki Beach and is very convenient for beach lovers on Oahu. Close to the stunning Waikiki area, this property is renowned for being the only pink hotel on the island. It’s so Instagram-friendly and cute you won’t want to leave.

Of course, no stay at Royal Air is complete without trying their Mai Tai. The hotel room has everything you need and of course a balcony to view all aspects of the beach such as surfboards lapping, coconut trees floating and beautiful sunsets and sunrises. Personally, I highly recommend staying at Melanie Tower as it not only has a great view of the beach but also has a view of Diamond Head! With an infinity pool and beach, this package is perfect!
