If you plan to travel on the Heathrow Express, you must buy tickets more than 14 days in advance. This is because Heathrow Express tickets are cheaper if you buy them two weeks in advance. You can buy them by downloading the app to your phone, then you can save the ticket directly to your phone.
For a cheaper alternative, you can take the tube from Heathrow to central London. It takes about 45 minutes, but it is very expensive.
